Questions about new Youth Regs.

I know the fish and wildlife have passed where children under 12 do not have to purchase license or tags. My question is about deer season. Do they go by the state allotment of 2 deer or 1 deer for the youth tag. Also if they wish to take extra deer, do you need to purchase extra tag according to the zone or can they hunt and just record it according to regulations.

They simply need to write down in the harvest log what they take, they are still limited to one antlered deer and zone restrictions for the particular county.

The only permits needed by kids under 12 is the elk application and elk permits if hunting elk.

Although the youth tag is one deer, they can still buy a second tag, but limited to harvest only one antlered deer.
