I bought a b-mobile and all it has done is hung up gobblers right out of gun range. Is it because they find b-mobile as a dominate bird. Also some people say b-mobile only works on dominate birds so should i even use him if i don't think the bird im on is the dominate one?

If you have a lot of birds around I think it works well, if you ahave a lot of young birds around 2yr olds yu may get some hang ups. Hope you better luck w/ it

Had my first "hung up" bird experience w B this year.... Dunno what happened, He Strutted an Gobbled his fool head off at about 65 yards and then jus went the other way. That said ol B has been responsible for the death of 2 tag out seasons for me, My Ladys first Bird, Another buddys first and Two Longbeards for my Son. I didn't hunt alot this year tho, So Other than the hang up I got a nice clean miss on a Struttin Fool at 20 yards.

I don't have one because I thought the same thing would happen so I put out a jake decoy with real feathers and the bird I called in for my nephew was getting ready to whip some jake butt until his lights went out

opposite results here in fact a group of 5 2/3 year olds charged so hard at the decoy (BMobile) the hunter ended up missing the shot..
But other then that the season was out of the norm for me many single 2 year old birds would appear to walk away at each call, so then tried calling less same results WEIRD season in general from my point of view

P. Beyer you missed, don't feel bad bad I did tag out with my 2 birds but had not one but two missing encounter myself, one at 30yds or less right after my cousin killed his first bird ever, sat right back down same spot called another gobbling bird in and missed. The second bird me an my uncle sat up in two different places and had only one bird on the property gobbling, more were gobbling but on the other property around. This bird worked right to me gobbling his head off full strut less than 25yds and missed again. My uncle wasn't that far away he heard the shot then a gobble right behind he thought what the heck, I just left not in a very good mood, but was able to redeem myself the next morning. The bird I hated to miss the most was the morning my cousin killed his that would have been great to have walked out with a double, but if you never miss you haven't hunt enough or long enough but it sure does stink, sound like you still had a great year.

I used a Pretty Boy for two seasons with a real fan. The only think that came to it was a couple of Alabamie boys while I was hunting in Dixie. It looks REAL.
I've had hens in the field with it that didn't mind. If hens are with toms, however, they tend to hang up, putt and cutt at the PB, and move away. I had two toms come in that saw the PB, immediately shut up and walked a wide circle around it. One tom wanted the hen decoy to come to him and kept inching closer while fanning and drumming -- fatal mistake.
Bottom line: In the two seasons I used the darn thing (Alabama, TN, KY, and MO) I didn't have a single tom come to it. I did have birds skirt around it that I could hear but couldn't see. I typically us a jake decoy with great success. Besides, the doggone PB is a pain in the butt to carry around.

I'm going to put a jake fan on the b-mobile and try my luck, Cuz that seems to be the thing working for everybody else.

I seem to do better with no decoys. The birds come in closer and not on the alert.

Try this, take a real fan but drop it down 2/3 way like it was going to be walking. Don't fan it out much. This makes it appear less threatening like a subordinate bird. I mounted a real freeze-dried head, wings and fan on a jake decoy body for a couple of seasons. If the fan was up in strut, they scared off of it. If it was down like I mentioned, they were much more likely to come to it. Also, don't put a very long beard on it ,if any.

Would it not be smarter, easier then to hunt with a jake decoy than with a older tom decoy such as a pretty boy or b mobile if you are hanging up birds???
