I decided to fix a small spot close to dad's house, so I would have a close place to kill some does. First I had to cut down about 40 small trees (0-4in) and 15-20 bigger trees (4-14in) as close to the ground as possible, and drug them out with the 4-wheeler. Next I sprayed round up, and waited about a week then bush hogged what was left, then disked and sewed lab-lab plus. I went to look at it yesterday and the peas and sorghum (I think) are starting to come up. It ended up being .279 acres, and should be a great place to fill the freezer and who knows I might even kill a good buck there. After the logging gets done I have another 2 acres to fix up and maybe a few other smaller plots like this one.

Nice looking plot there. Put yourself up a chicken wire enclosure about three feet in diameter and anchor it with a couple stakes that way you can assess how well it's growing without the deer eating all the new growth.
