Good idea. I will have to borrow a camera (still stuck in the 35mm age)
My peas are a little over 6 foot 5in tall and have more peas than I can pick. The potato's are up to my waist (!) Tomato's are doing good, overall one of the best years ever so far, love this rain.

Im gonna snap some pics tomorrow. I nned to hoe first so I dont look so bad :o
Where's the weeds??? Keeping the garden that clean will definitely keep you busy. I got a late start due to some cold snaps in northern KY, but things are coming along. I'll post pics later.

I'll try to get a few pics in the next couple days.
We have went from really wet to really dry. I started watering mine yesterday .... hopefully we will get a shower soon. Most of mine was set April 30 and has been looking fairly good. Had to replant sweetcorn twice & green beans had a lot of missing in the rows but it's finally took off. Lots of small squash & tomatoes....few cucumbers about 6 inches long and a few small peppers.
Watermelons & cantelopes are finally running and blooming. They seemed to sit there forever before taking off. Hopefully they will do as well as last year.

I'm thinking of "mulching" my squash, green beans, and tomatoe plants with pine needles. Anyone on here see a down side to that?

Lived in Georgia for a few years, cedar mulch as we know it is almost non existant down there, everyone buys bales of pine needles.

Did a little redneck engineering this evening. We live next to a good sized stream, took a fairly large submersible pump, placed it in a deep pool in the creek, had some of the hard yellow plastic gas line laying around, connected it to the pump, ran the electric to my garage to a 125v plugin, ran the gas line up on top of the fence line about 50 yards or so to the garden. Garden is on a slight slope as is, drilled holes in gas line every so many feet and presto, flip a switch in the garage, garden gets watered with free water.
