I sure hope he get's it done. He has everything in his favor right now. I will be very surprised if he loses.
I think they've gotten too cocky. He should win, but with so many people already giving him the win, the situation is primed for a let down.

I hope so as well. The horse is amazing, i loved the camera view that shows him busting away from the pack during the preakness, gives me goose bumps.

Hope he wins...a Triple Crown would mean people would talk less about Eight Bells. That was kind of a black eye on the Derby this year.

Out of the #1 hole he may have his job cut out for him if he don't break well and get caught up in the pack. One heck of a horse tho...I would have to bet he will get the job done in the end.

the thing about that #1 hole, big browns strength is his explosiveness out of the gate. now that he has the 1 spot he either uses his strength and pushes it the whole race, or he lays back to save kick for the end. but casino drive in my opinion is the only horse that can catch him, or even be close i should say, and he isnt for sure to run

I wonder if that crack in his hoof is gonna affect him during the race?

I think that the#1 hole will be a breeze for him. Considering that he had to come from the 20th at the derby. That 19 lengths that he had to make up, just at the start.

I would like to see Big Brown win it, but I expect a big upset by guadalcanal or howerever you spell it. he has never won a race, would be a good place to break his maiden. And if you look at Big Browns time in the derby and preakness they were not that impressive, he just has no competition.

so you're telling me he's running the freakin' BELMONT STAKES against THREE other horses, one of whom has NEVER WON A RACE???
i'm not an insider or anything, but it sure sounds to me like somebody wanted a triple crown to happen.

How many did Secretariat beat when he won it? Ill give you a guess.....4!
When you are that dominant it tends to weed out the pretenders real quick......

Why push a horse when there is no need......I think today you will see them open this horse up and let him show off what he can do......I wouldnt be surprised if he wins by 20 lengths similar to Secretariat.....

I am however shocked that he finished 20 lengths behind the entire field......

Sure looked like he ran outta gas with a half mile to go. Got to give a big thums up to the jockey for saving him once he seen the race was lost.
That was the mother of all chokes! I just had the feeling that everyone was counting the chickens before the eggs hatched.

NEW YORK -- Big Brown failed in his bid to become horse racing's 12th Triple Crown winner when he finished dead last to Da' Tara in the Belmont Stakes.
Da' Tara went wire to wire to beat eight other thoroughbreds over 1½ miles, the longest and toughest of the three classics.
"I had no horse," said Big Brown's jockey, Kent Desormeaux.
All week long, Big Brown's trainer, Rick Dutrow Jr. said the horse's victory was "a foregone conclusion." He turned out be wrong.
The bay colt's disappointing performance followed convincing victories in the Kentucky Derby and Preakness. He failed on the same track where 10 horses had been beaten over the last three decades. The last horse to win the Triple Crown was Affirmed in 1978.
