I walked into work this morning, looked at the calendar and noticed it was June 6, D-Day. I asked my cashier, a 33 year Army Vet Master Sgt., if he knew what the day was. He said he didn't and I told him it was D-Day. I've noticed that every calendar I've looked at today, including my Interstate Batteries NASCAR calendar, doesn't have D-Day on it. There isn't a thread here yet and I went to every major media site I could think of (including the CJ) and there is nothing about the event. If you love your country and honor the courage and sacrifice of our troops, you'll watch this video and remember what they did. We have troops today that have experienced similar horrors of war such as the ones at the 3-1/2 and 7-1/2 minute marks of this 10-minute clip:

To think of what was going through the minds of those guys on Omaha beach while they were literally getting mowed down blows me away. I could only hope to have that kind of courage.
