I'm posting for a friend of mine who wants to go somewhere to ride his ATV, either camp or stay at a nearby motel, have a restaurant nearby with beer/drinks, and maybe another attraction or something. He lives in Barren county and doesn't want to go too far.

He's been to LBL and even thought about a place over in east Ky called Black Mt, but might want something a bit closer.

Thanks folks, Brutus

Black Mountain ATV park in Harlan County is probably the best though =

there is a place near upton ky i think it was called royal atv club.there isnt alot of area events or atractions but the riding is nice, if your interested in riding it all in a hand full of hours. i usually travel to oliver springs tn. a place called coal creek, thousands upon thousands of acreas with hundreds of miles of trails. wish i could remember the site for it, think it was something like coal creek tn ohv .com, or the place i stayed at indian creek ohv tn. hope that helps

Royal ATV Trails is just down the road from my house. I see alot of atv's going there. It is about 9 miles east of Clarkson on highway 224. It is about 12 miles west of Upton.

I live about 5 mins from the trail head of Black Mountain, we were suppose to have a camping trip a few weeks ago but noone really got to serious about it. It is a great place to ride although we dont have any places that sell beer and hopefully we can keep it that way, you can go about 30mins away and get some. If you need to know anything about it just pm me. Google Harlan County Ridge Runners and you can see all kinds of pics of the park on their web site its the local atv club.
