Nope, it will keep rising. They had some kind of fire at a refinery. They will come up with some BS of how that effects the whole nations supply.

Saw on the news this morning that there were large protest in Belgium, because their price of gas went up to $9 a gallon. They also mentioned England, and the rest of Europe is having record increases. I wonder why everybody, not just the US is paying high gas prices?????? I thought it was because we had an oil man as Pres. Does Belgium, England and the rest of Europe all have oil men as Presidents right now also?????
I have seen several experts say that they believe that the Arabs are pumping up oil on the commodities market, hence the high $ per barrel.
I also saw where the Democrat controlled Congress voted down drilling in ANWAR AGAIN 3 weeks ago.

Seen $3.80 this morning. That means tomorrow it will go through the roof again. Seems like every time it drops it jumps way up the next day.

Do you notice that when the news talks about the price of a barrel of crude goes up it immediately effects the price at the pump. When the price goes down, it "takes a while" for the price that we pay to go down.
Wonder why?????

I didn't catch the whole story but I saw someone testify that it costs $40 to produce a barrel of oil, $40 in taxes from OPEC, and $40 in speculators raising the price. Of course this is all a rough estimate right now since the price of a barrel changes every day. Can you imagine the actual cost of a barrel on the open market is 2/3 more expensive than what it costs to produce it. Sickening.

No doubt that speculators are behind the obscene pricing. Gas and oil are usually priced per supply and demand, but there is no doubt an artificial element that is the culprit here, because there isn't justification for these extremely high prices.

Don't feel too bad. Gas here in CA is $4.29 at most places. Even saw a lone Shell station that had it at $4.44.
One reason given for gas not coming down as fast as the drop in oill price is today's price is for a future delivery, like say July for today. Doesn't explain the fast rise though does it? Go figure.
