barren river stripers?

anyone been on barren river within a few days? was curious if the stripers had moved up or any shad starting to spawn. me and a buddy planning on going soon, but with gas prices the way they are we are trying to time it just right

My wife and I went Monday aftere noon looks like shad are just starting and we did pritty good on strippers bought home 18.

We got are limit today on stripers at barren. Started slow lots of wind made it a little rough.Not catching many over 15'' yet. Average 10'' to 14''.

How are you catching them? So far all I have been doing up there is fishing for cats.:D

Trolling mainly Erie dearie tipped with night crawlers then when i find them schooled up stop and vertical jig spoons and rooster tails.
