I finally got the ANDE 2lb test in on Friday. I spooled up today hoping to a grass carp but of course that didnt happen. The carp were out too far and one cast I made, I casted a lil to hard and my line broke and the bread along with the hook went crusin across the lake.:eek:

So then Steph and I both catch a bass at 2lbs each. Then night falls and the cats come out. There were out far so I just tossed my bread out as far as I could and waited. Well after a few of those casts I seen a cat make a huge tail flap so I threw it at him and about 2 minutes later he did it again even closer and then 10 seconds later my bread is gone. So I figured I had a cat on my 8lb test. So after 50 minutes I finally seen that it was a carp and he was only 28lbs. I've never faught a carp that long, he must have had something to live for. The is he was long, 44 1/2".

Good lookin fish. I just got back from Barren River Lake with a nice stringer of cats:D. We used locusts and caught four common carp. The biggest weighed about eight lbs. Have you tried catching grass carp with them? Might work... at least the cats like 'em...:cool:
