Does anybody know of any shooting ranges close to Louisville where I could teach my wife and one of her friends how to handle a handgun. I thought of Knob Creek, but am afraid that it might be a little intimidating to them since the two times I have been to the range there were so many people it sounded more like an artillery range. I had also thought of Ray's indoor range, but went by it last night only to find it had closed.

Anything else within a 30 minute drive of Louisville?

I'd recommend Rays. The setting makes for a good learning environment. Controlled climate, bathrooms etc. Call them and find out what their operating hours are, then schedule accordingly.

Has Ray's moved? The location off of Bishop lane is closed.

Don't know. That's the first I've heard of it. They've been at that location for years. Did you try calling them? Perhaps they have some kind of answering machine that gives a message as to what's going on.

A nice place to shoot is at French Range on Ft. Knox. Seldom crowded.

Ray's is out of buisness.

A bad day hunting is better than a good day at work.
