XD 45 Compact Carry

I've got an XD 45 compact. I've only had if for about 6 months or so. I got it to be able to carry as well as play around with. I've seen where a few guys around here are carrying this gun as well. I've got the XD gear paddle holster to carry it with and it fits pretty snug up against my like I want. When I do carry it, it's on my right side just behind my hip. The only problem is with some of my shirts it prints pretty bad. I'm about 5'10", 170 lbs. I was wondering what you're using (holster, etc), and how you carry it, and where on you you carry it? I love the gun just want to be able to carry it more.

I know some of you will say get a smaller gun, or wear a baggier shirt. But I don't the money for another gun right now, and I don't want to wear a shirt big and baggy enough look like a dress.

well, I'm still waiting on my permit to come in before I can carry. But I do have a soft inside the wasteband style holster. With some of my tshirts you can see a slight print, but most you can't tell. I have just tested it around the apartment to see. I am going for a loaded champion 3" .45 sometime soon when I can come up with extra $, but my xd .45 compact is my baby. Put nearly 800 rounds through it without a jam, missfeed or single problem. I also have a blackhawk serpa holster for the xd....I tried on a sweatshirt and winter cloths the other day before I put them away and you couldn't even see a print if you looked for it.

Well I ordered an inside-the-waistband holster for my XD and got it last week. I wore it over the weekend and it all but makes that gun disappear on the backside of my hip with a good shirt on. I got the holster from highnoon holsters for about $25 plus shipping. I will say it's well worth the investment. Now I just need to get used to carrying around the extra weight.
