has anyone tried those insulated baitsaver buckets. i use a jon boat and was thinking about buying one. are they a good investment?

If you're gonna drop the money for one, get a big one like the insulated jobs with the flip top lids, make sure you get one that is wired to run off the auxillary battery in your boat. The smaller ones like you carry have never really impressed me for the price they want and no more bait than they effectively hold..........

They work real well with one of the bubblers in them for minnows. But most are not big enough for shad or yellowtails.

yeah thats what i was afraid of. the one i was thinking about buying was only 8 qts (2 gallons). thought it might be enough for creek chubs, i dont know yet.
