Had a blast Saturday with my son-inlaw & grandson. Caught 47 nice Bluegills & Shellcrackers at a local watershed lake. Several were 9" long & most 8". The snakes were having a good time too. We seen two different snakes with big bluegills in thier mouth heading for the shore with the fishing flopping in thier mouth trying to get away.

can you see said local watershed from I-65? We cleaned 38 off of McDougal Lake this weekend. The look on the boys face says it all, nice mess of fish.

Mcdougal it is. This is a five hour catch. My other buddies caught 89 & had another friend come in that afternoon & caught 119.
There are two watersheds by I-65 ( one you can see & the other you can't) but neither one has impressed me.

Well let me know when you want to hit it again. We can meet there almost any thime. I can be on the water in 10 minutes:D. What do you think about the "new ramp"?

Well it's all right if you just want to set there & fish. I seen some other guys, I guess, had put in the upper end of the creek. Is there a better place on up the creek to put in?

Some of the fish have worms in them, most don't. They don't seem to be as bad this year as they were last year and the year before.

How big of a boat do you have? They just cut a new spot out in the bank a few weeks ago. The old ramp has filled in pretty bad. Have you ever tried Salem lake in Hodgenville out. It is prett decent fishing and whole lot easier to get in and out of.

I didn't notice a new ramp. Is it before you get to the old one? I have a 12' jon.
I started out on Salem years ago. Back then you could catch them as big as McDougal's but the last few times I've went they have really came down is size.
As for the worms, none of these had worms.
Just for an update, my friend went yesterday & he said they were off the banks, back out about 50 yards or so. Said they didn't catch many, about 66, LOL
