Congrats on the catch. You are a lucky man!! My wife loves to catch cats but will barely touch them, much less bear-hug one like that.

Glad we got to go, hope the wife doesn't rub it in too bad.:D We'll try to put some pop knots on the blues heads again soon, this time we'll head to a "real" blue spot where those little channels won't bother us. Either that or we'll go catch some flatties, but we'll have to do a little better than the bait we had. I have one bit of advice for next time, rod holders, more rod holders. Ahh, forget it, we'll take the cat boat next trip.
BTW, did you get all that slime out yet?:D

I usually throw all the big fish(over 10 lbs) back, and ask the folks I put them on to do the same. The one exception is Memorial Day where we keep everything we catch and have a fish fry. This year was a little off as most years on Memorial Day we bring back 150+ lbs of fish. As for what happened to the big one, he made about 30 lbs of fillets, but generally, you're right the smaller ones up to about 10 lbs are the better eating fish. Also a lot more numerous than those big breeder fish;)............

Just a habit from my days in the 80's hair bands----if I wasn't in full makeup, I wore sunglasses to hide my identity.:DJ/K, actually it was a ball, I get more of a kick putting others on good fish than I do catching them myself. Not to say I mind hooking up on a fish with no known top end weight:rolleyes:................
