Tell us about the youth hunt, How did it go?

Well we had a decent shoot yesterday. 2 kids killed 6 birds. They should have killed several more, but they hadn't hunted much so their shots wern't that great. We kinds messed them up on some birds(there were 3 adults and we all wanted them to set up in different spots, needless to say we put em in the wrong place). Shot at some geese but never pulled the first feather out. They had a ball though, had birds on us all morning.
This morning was a different story. We found several hundred birds yesterday using some flooded willows. Went back this morning expecting to bust ice, which we did, but only had one bird come back in. Probably didn't see 30 ducks this morning compaired to the few hundred of yesterday. All in all one good shoot and 2 good hunts!!

Has anyone noticed that the "official" KDFWR wildlife calendar for 2003-2004 says that the western youth season is Feb. 14-15? Does that mean we get to take 'em again next weekend?

We took 6 kids and they bagged 7 geese and 4 ducks on Saturday. The wind direction changed on sunday[:(] and the birds stayed 1/2 miles to the west of us[:(]Will post a pic later 2day.
