Hen with poults already!

Saw a hen with very small poults this afternoon catching bugs in tall grass by the house,seems a might early to me,but I don't keep up with them as much as deer and such.

28 days are all that they need on average..........This hen was probably bred right when breeding was at its peak.....

I saw a hen today with a bunch of poults today as well..

I haven't saw any myself, but I was figuring that it wouldn't be to much longer before some of the earlier bred hen would start hatching.

Saw some running down a lane and into the woods

saw some on my way to MO this weekend.

saw a hen yesterday with about ten poults and heard a bird gobbling in the same area.
