Or......A feeder goldfish that got really freaking big. He would have made great Flathead bait. My son caught him.

Edit: If someone could PM me on how to make the pics larger it would help. It is in photbucket but I can't figure out how to adjust the size.

Look above the photo in your album, it should be one of the choices to select to make them bigger or smaller.

If you have a lot of pics in your photobucket account, it will automatically resize them really small when you get close to filling up your alloted amount of space.

Otherwise, when you get ready to load photos to your account, there is a message about automatically resizing to a certain size. Make sure it lists the size that you want.

That looks like an overgrown goldfish. They're really just a carp. I've seen golden carp in schools of regular carp. I think it's just a coloration that some can get.

I tried to stick one with a bow back in 1983 but he never would give me a good shot. Some of his buddies didn't fare so well, however.

Yep...big feeder goldfish. I was just kidding when I said rare. The pond was shimmering orange at the end there were so many of them in there. It is surprisingly hard to get them to bite.

Nice goldfish. We had a pond behind the house that was stocked with goldfish and we use to go and catch them all the time. They get to be good size when put in ponds

Should have took him home and put him in a koi pond or goldfish pond.

When I was kid there was a 1 to 2 acre pond on the school property (imagine that nowdays). All the kids that lived nearby fished. It had a lot of those large goldfish in it. Some bright orange some not so bright and more carp color. There was a old guy who ran Limb / Trot lines on Green river that if you caught one and could get it to his house alive would pay 50 cents for them. Thats when 50 cents was like a weeks allowance or more. I remember looking in the bed of his truck after he ran those lines and seeing some rather large flatheads he caught while useing those goldfish.
