While on the lake fishing yesterday, hear one gobbling two or three times. This was between 1:00 and 2:00 pm. I thought it was interesting to hear at this time of year.

I heard one gobbling behind the house this morning when I went outside to go to work.
I'm sure it's the bird that I hunted half of the season and I know exactly what he looks like from 70 yards......

There may be some hens starting to re-nest. So they are looking for them.

I watched a Tom breed a hen just this morning near the house. I would have to agree with ya Feedman.

Had one come running in to us on the lake tonight. My buddy was doing his best dying hen impersonation and he was double gobbling coming in.

Heard one gobble 19 times in 35 min Thursday morning while I was setting up my tent. Went from 8:15-8:50. Saw him out cruising Fri. morning early and another one in the middle of the day. Saw one fanned out Sat. afternoon and the one I heard Thursday morning was back at it this morning. There were two hens in the corner of my field that were yelping and it was tearing that gobbler up. He was more than 1/4 mile away but didn't seem to be budging an inch.
