Cant catch many but still getting gooduns 27# Ky lake in the whitecaps

We fought the wind on Tuesday afternoon on Barkley. We kept 11 that weighed 40 pounds total. Big fish was 12 and all but a couple were channels that were FULL of eggs. Rock ledges and frozen shrimp were the ticket.

Congrats on the blue, Jeff.

Went to KY this weekend, camped and fished in one of the bays... spread everything out friday night to pattern them, Saturday it was on... 3 hours, 22 fish over 140 lbs. Caught 5 friday night as well. Had a great trip! AVERAGE weight was 7 pounds, all channels... will try to get pics posted! Ours were all caught in VERY shallow water, leeches and shrimp, and all were full of eggs as well. Great time to get down there and get em! My freezer is FULL from just one weekend!

May is the month for big fish for me.the last 7 fish I have caught have averaged 19.5# and have all come in 30-35 feet of water working from the main channel into a gravel bar bouncing leeches and shrimp on bottom.
I have only caught one channel cat in 3 trips and it was full of eggs but the blues are definetely not in the spawn yet from what I can tell

That's a big ol' channel if I've ever seen one!! I think the state record is around 34 lbs.

I humbly hang my head and admit I was wrong. I was looking at the head and paid no attention to the a noose.

I would have just painted it to look like what I thought it was. Customer would never know the difference.
