I cannot imagine this weather is good for nesting. Anyone seen any poults or nests?

Keep your fingers crossed! Months of May i thought were perfect for nesting & hatching turned out to have bad hatches. Go figure!

I have seen one hen with small ones , i am afraid that this wet cold weather is going to damage the hatch

Hope it warms up.
We're having a late spring around here.
Usually blackberries are blooming here the last week of turkey season ( 1st days of May).
They are just now blooming here, May 23.

My son accidentally spooked a hen off of her nest about a week or so ago. It had 11 eggs in it. That's the only one we've seen.

Well, haven't really thought about it all that much I guess, I was just thinking of a much better year than last year. All though it has been rather wet and cool we haven't had the freezing temps we had last spring. Let's just keep our finger crossed and hope for a great hatch

walked a hay field thats due to be cut in the next few days....found two nests that had already hatched .......been watching a nest here by the house, the hen thinks she is hidden well,i check it each day to make sure nothing has gotten the eggs....should hatch soon
