Got a phone call from my friend and former boss this morning....it went like this..Hey can you come up to the pond and take a picture of this bass I just caught...I got it in the dip net holding it in the water so hurry. I grabbed my camera and jumped on the ATV. Got to the pond and this is what he had...on one of those cheap spring scales it hit a bit over 5 lb.

Looks like it's got the head of an 8 pounder on a five pound body....It needs some bluegill or lots of minnows to fill out that puny belly.......:)

It does have that look of a stunted pond but believe me there are plenty of small bluegill for them to eat in that pond. Between the bass and the large cat's in there a bluegill under a float don't live very long...:D... I have caught bass out of this pond over 8 lb and cat's over 15.
