Any chance in getting golf course damage permits to shoot some geese from F & W???? The geese are pooping on the greens and the ball strokers are crying fowl.

I've heard of it happening. Our local golf course geese had all the small ballers up in arms but all the red tape you would have to go through would be a nightmare since it's in the city limits (just because they wanted their liquor license, go figure). They had someone come and trap them all about 2 weeks before the nuisance season came in. I was just starting to narrow down their daily activities when they left the course too.

I could whack them on the course (that was the only reason I was playing golf, trying to take them out with a golf ball on the 2nd tee box....lol) but the deal with the city was more than I wanted to mess with for a couple of geese.

Ever try to retrieve an errant golf ball from the middle of a family group of about 75 Canadas? I think 3 of them got taken out by Big Berthas in self defense last year.

Speaking of goose damage, what about the damage to my self esteem and reputation for all the shots I missed this past season?[:D]

I can and did hunt the course in question, but couldn't put a dent in the number og geese using the area. It's really a problem when they use the greens too.

i am sure some of the first steps to be taken would be a possible trapping and relocation but of course we all know this would only be a temporarily fix ...it's very doubtful you will get a permit this time of the year since migrators are traveling thru the feds dont like them to be messed with unless its a legal hunt..
