Mike and I went to a small farm pond in Independence. I caught 10 gills, one was 10", the rest were small and I also caught a decent lil bass.
Then we went to Banklick Creek, the over flow from Doe Run, next to the Church. Caught 2 sauger, a bunch off largemouts and 1 smallie.

I also put the smaller of the 2 saugers in my aquarium. So far he is doin good. My shovelnose tried to eat him but the sauger is too big. Looks neat with the lights off cuz you can see his eyes glow. I picked him up to put in my aquarium and he flared out his gills and I forgot about them being sharp as a razor and he got me. Lil bit of blood but no biggie. :D

Well I did have a sauger, looks like my bass got hungry and had a lil snack
That's a dandy looking creek. Did you wade it or fish from the bank? I went wading the a week ago and it was still too cold. I love me some wade fishing!

Was fishing in the ripples, the water was moving fast so we fished against the ripples is shallow water. The bass were pooled up just before an overflow prolly ambushing all the minnows being washed down stream. I wish I had a small rapala like a minnow, prolly would have done much better.;)
