Raymond J. Learsy is an old school commodities trader who started Brimstone Exports back in 1963. From what I've researched on him, he doesn't appear to swing politically too far to the left or the right. On the contrary, he seems to be more or less a capitalist businessman who would appear to lean to the right. Anywho, he has written articles for The New York Times and National Review Online in the past, as well as authored a newly released book, Over a Barrel : Breaking the Middle East Oil Cartel, published by Nelson Current. Here's an interesting (for lack of a better word) opinion piece he wrote for Yahoo! News called The Why of Chokingly High Oil Prices: Bush Together with Saudi Arabia Spells Disaster for America. Opinions?

Good read! Kinda reminds me of the Amish, selling vegetables at the produce auctions, most people don't ever catch on to their tactics, to keep their prices HIGHER, than other farmers..........but I do.
The general consenses, among the general public is........the Amish produce is better, it will bring more money, if you want it.....just keep biding.....WRONG! They are actually, like this oil cartel....... savy, ruthless buisness people traveling in groups, and knowing what their pre-set, bottom dollar, on all Amish produce is..........and, by-bidding the product, through the roof........thus, keeping prices HIGHER, and putting the profits in their saddle bags, in the long run..........and most never see it.
I have watched an Amish farmer unload a wagon load of tomatoes, to sell..............only to see him load the wagon back up, with his Amish neighbors tomatoes, he just bought........

I can't help but wonder how much of his opinion is truth and how much is because he is a commodity trader?

Good read..........
Keep hearing oil reserves are high every day or two on the news, I still have no idea why they need to pump more oil, there bending us over either way.
I remember a Simpsons episode where Mr. Burns built a side-ways oil pump and it stole oil that was underneath the school.....hmmmmm...how side-ways does one need to be to steal oil from Saudi Arabia?? :o
