maybe he was counting syria, iran, north korea, china, venusulia, the state of inexperiance, and the state of racism as long as it helps your political carrer in chicago.

I don't know why anyone would vote for someone that has said that he would not be sworn in while placing his hand on the Holy Bible:eek:, someone who won't even salute the very country they are running for:mad:, someone who doesn't even know how many states are in the country:confused:. What an idiot slimeball! And if you notice he looks an awful lot like that David Archuleta kid on American Idol, yet another draw back!:D

I saw him say that and thought the same thing you all did. The only thing I could come up with is that he was including Puerto Rico, Guam, Virgin Islands, D.C. in the voting states/territories but even at that it adds up to 55. I don't know why he'd call those states anyways... there not!

Don't confuse being a liberal with being stupid.
Yep, he said 57 states, but nobody (not McCain, not Hillary, not the Republican party) will ever make a big deal of this, b/c everybody knows Obama really meant 47 states and simply had a slip of the tongue. I agree with the guy who posted the video that it was probably due to exhaustion.
I'd vote for my dog before I'd vote for Obama, but it sure as hell isn't b/c I think the guy's stupid. IMO, it would be far more accurate to say he's brilliant than to say he's an idiot. If given an IQ test, I'd venture to guess that he'd score a lot closer to genius than average in intelligence.
I'd never vote for the guy though because he has a short but proven track record as a flaming liberal, and I think this he'll say anything it takes to get elected (like any other politician).
A major part Obama's campaign platform centers on him being a "fresh" voice in Washington and being able to reach across party lines in a bipartisan manner.
Obama's rhetoric about being the only candidate with the ability to reach across party lines is just that, rhetoric. The purpose of this platform is to make swing voters believe that he holds views that are palatable to some republicans as well as democrats (i.e. that he's actually a "moderate" or in the "middle").
This notion, of course, is complete hogwash. In his short career as a senator, Obama has unflinchingly and consistently voted in lock-step with the liberal left. To my knowledge, he hasn't been involved in any bipartisan legislation on any important issue, and his record demonstrates no inclination or willingness to reach across party lines on any issue.

I wouldn't vote for him if you put a gun to my head, and with that said
It was a slip of the tongue he meant 47 states and not 57. think about it he said he'd been to 57 except one and that he couldn't go to Alaska or Hawaii. that makes three plus 47= 50 just a slip of the tongue and a brain lapse.
Still doesn't excuse the stance he has on being sworn in on the Bible, or his lack of patriotism and his liberal, liberal, liberal views.
Sad that people will sacrifice freedom for a supposed economic boost by this guy or the Femminazi Hillary Clinton.

Not that I'm an Obama fan, but I think all you guys are on the wrong track. Most people don't realize that U.S. territories get to vote, such as the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.... which he visited, probably among other places. In that regard, if you're a politician, you might as well view them as a state. He just worded it funny. If he had not visited those places, I'd say it's a slip of the tongue, but they do vote, and he did visit them, so I imagine they were counted in that 57.

Most intelligent, informed voters know a state is a state and a territory is a territory. Words mean things and sometimes we all need to look deeper than the surface to really see things. He is bad news for this country.

I don't think your numbers add up. He visited 47 states, but said 57. Are there 10 US territories? And did he visit even 1 or 2 of them, much less ten? I don't think so. Off the top of my head I can only think of 4 or 5 US territories, not 10.

Well, there's 6 additional areas that might could be counted:
American Samoa (maybe)
Puerto Rico
Guam
Virgin Islands
Washington DC
Northern Mariana Islands (Sapian, Tinian, Rota)
Thought there were more, such as the Midway Islands, but apparently that's mostly a wildlife refuge with no permanent residents.

He also had some "national ads" that showed there right before the voting.
He has those two state on his list to visit now. If I was a Demcrat in either state I'd tell him to get lost. If he doesn't want our vote counted now, why should anyone in those states vote for him in the general election?
How bad will Hillary thump him in West By God Virginia and KY?

That reads an awful lot like you trying to turn what I said into me somehow supporting him. All I'm saying is that support him or not (No way I would!), that bible thing is found on snopes. I've also seen a clip on MSNBC of him being sworn in on a King James Version of the Holy Bible for the Senate. If you are gonna support something, for gosh sakes man be intelligent about it.
What I was saying was Corndogggy was referring to Minnesota congressman Keith Ellison, a Muslim, who I believe was sworn in on the Koran.
