I agree, but the defense will claim the same BS they always claim, a cop cant do time because hes a cop,his life will be in danger while incarcerated blah blah blah

I'm sure plenty need it but 5-1? Maybe the cops should work out a little more and make it a little more fair? I'm all for jerking and checking for weapons but after a mans clear is 2-1 too much to ask?

Ever been to Philly??? That's exactly what most of those idiots need.I agree with that too but what good is it to beat the h*ll out of them with a "Rodney King" cam on every corner. The winnings from that lawsuit will only put more crack in the streets and money in the pockets of people like Al Sharpton

I can't stand Al Sharpton but damn, 15 on 3??? Somebody really gonna argue that point? Al Sharpton is the reason i never looked into this, i figured it was the same BS. I WAS WRONG

Not trying to argue but they would do the same for you. Certian sections of Baltimore, Philly, and D.C need to be burnt down and started over. Never mind we are too busy building the rest of the freaking world to take care of our problems....

Yes I have and a taste of that is what I got. Back in 1988 I was in the Navy and my ship spent a year in dry dock at Filthadelphia Naval Shipyard. You came out of the Navy Yard and straight into south Philly, right beside of Veteran's Stadium and the Spectrum. We would jump the fence and walk across Veteran's Stadium parking lot because it cut off 10 minutes walking time. These Philly cops decided to check us out when we came over the fence and started giving us a hard time. I start to mouth off and the next thing I know I'm eating a piece of their hood. The cop who slammed me tells his partner in the best Rocky accent you've ever heard, "look it, a real live country %#$&! hillbilly. He's too ignorant to know when to shut the %#$& up." They let us go eventually after a few jokes about barefeet and sisters. A lot of those guys are a step above slimeballs, but if you had to be a cop on those streets I'll guarantee it would harden you.

I'm not agreeing with the beat down, but with that many cops, those guys must have lead them on a chase. You don't have that many cops all of a sudden, we are not getting the whole picture here.

We may not be getting the whole picture but what constitutes the beatdown? Please don't say a chase.

I think the cops thought they were involved in a shooting however no weapons were found. Yes i understand the throw and go probability.

yeah it's bs...I'm sure they'll get a paid leave. Being a cop is the only job in the world where you can break all the rules & do whatever you want and get a PAID leave.

the so called beat down only lasted 25 seconds and none of the scumbag attempted murderers where injured very bad at all.i think that anybody that shoots people from a car not caring where thier bullets go( maybe killing sombodies little kid)that they deserve everything that they get.when i see a video of cops beaten up innocent people then il get mad.

If you look back at the Philly police to the seventies, they have been as crooked and malevolent as the New Orleans PD. Their chief, a guy named Rizzo who became mayor. His famous quote about fighting crime? "I'm going to make Attilla the Hun look like a faggot".

I'm not for coddling criminals and I think law enforcement has to have a firm grip, but that's a little over the top.

Not that their actions were right. Especially the cops who came in after the men were under controle, but imagine if you had to capture someone you thought had killed one of your co-workers. You may not be so controled either.

With that many cops raiding that car, they knew these guys were guilty---not to mention a news helicopter was even on the case...only time that has ever yielded an innocent party was OJ---and he wasn't either. I don't think that it was necessary to kick the man that many times tho. He came out of the car on his belly....drug out and thrown on his belly, and that was fine. But then I think he should've been handcuffed and stuffed...the kicks were emotion---and that comes with being human every now and then no matter how much CNN wants you to think it doesn't. If these guys did any shooting, and I bet they did, they deserved it---wasn't right, but deserved it. Its easy to throw a gun out the window that you stole anyway.

Well what happens to me if a real family member is murdered and i get a group of vigilantes and go kick the ---- out of the criminals? Police officers are not above the law,. they should be charged. Especially the one or two that ran around getting a shot in on all three. JMO

I am not condoning their actions. However, this wasn't just a standard traffic stop. Police were doing an undercover drug operation, and witnessed these men in the car, pull up and shoot three people on the sidewalk. I say they had an arse wipping coming.

Listen these cops were wrong no doubt. This is excessive force. But before you start talking smack about them "walk a mile in their shoes". Sometimes things get out of control. Now most of those cops deserve suspensions for a long time and some deserve to loose thier jobs. I haven't got to watch it closely so I won't comment on jail time.
