I'll never say that I've heard it all again, I thought I had. Obviously I was wrong.

I'd be extremely surprised if it did actually happen in full detail. Think about it, that body would have been in the ground nearly 90 years. A black family back then probably would have just used a pine box and no concrete/brass covering, whatever it's called. I would think that this corpse would have been decomposed a long time ago. They might have found a skull but I don't think there's any way they found a full body that was intact enough that they would have to use a shovel to decapitate it, just doesn't make sense.

Not so, corndoggy! What you say is reasonable but it just isn't true.

Dr. Bill Bass, the Father of Forensic Anthropolgy, in his book "Death's Acre", writes about a buried Civil War soldier that he mistook for someone recently dead. Here's a link:

Think about all the prehistoric aniamals and humans scientist have dug up..........By your logic, that would be impossible. I don't know much about it, and Im sure you really don't either, but Id say in most conditions 90 years isn't long enough to decompose large bone structures. Who Kno's

It all depends on the type soil, ground water, and chemistry of the body. See.......I watch National Geographic too!!!

I can completely understand finding bones, I'm just surprised that they could find a body that was intact enough to have to forcefully decapitate it. I mean, throw a dead critter in the field... after a few weeks the only thing that is left is a pile of bones. Guess I always assumed that it would be even worse underground if not in a sealed coffin... worm food ya know... but it's not like I go around digging up dead people to find out either. :D

Argue about it all you want about the decomposing of bones but these kids should be shot. That is sick.

If that is the case, Public Schools would have been gone along time ago.

Well I always knew that homeschool kids wound up a little off! But they take the cake! What surprises me is that they aren't charged with more like use of a controlled substance. And myself digging up and decapitatind a corpse should be considered a felony. These "boys" should be locked in a cell and let rot and then hanged in public so there heads will pop off and then burried in a shallow grave! Little demented but think about it!

I don't know the details on this case, of course, but around here, many home schoolers are public school rejects whose parents can't control them anyway. The true home-schooled kids that I know are head and shoulders above most kids as far as behavior and academics go.

I can say that since I'm part of a public school system. You guys need to retract those statements about home schooled kids. It's way off base.

What a bunch of idiots. The sad thing is that they will probibly just get worse as they get older...

I know one kid thats home schooled and he is pretty crazy. He went on a rampage of shooting houses with a paintball gun and hitting mail boxes and stuff like that. I think he got out of it somehow tho.
