This past week or more's weather has been great. I haven't had any heat or A/C on in close to two weeks and the 10-day outlook is for more of the same with highs in the upper-60s to low-70s and lows in the 50s. It has to be as much of a shot in the arm with respect to energy costs for most as it has been for me. I'm loving it!

This weather has been a financial windfall for me too. But mostly due to the fact that I have been able to time plantings well and have a really nice truck farm started....
I have no idea where you live, your age, health, etc. BUT my family doesn't ever use AC and it saves us tons of money. I was brought up with parents that thought AC made people lazy and so we never used it.
Our house is shaded by lots of trees and so we are in a good spot.
Obviously there are some places where people have to use AC, and of course heating is a must!
I do encourage you all though to raise your thermostat this summer - you will save money and the environment and there really is no need to make your house a walk in freezer.

Yeah its been great not having ti turn on the ole central air or heat as well. The only downsize is I have to mow the yard almost twice a week to keep up and with little over 3 acres its takes about 2 gallons of gas so I dont know if Im coming out ahead in the long run.
