Used some last year. Didn't do squat. Better off preparing the soil and doing it the right way from the start. That Throw and Grow is some expensive stuff in its own right.

I planted some last year but very little ever came up. I blame it on no rain though. It came up this spring pretty good.

Here's a picture of a plot of Sweet Spot that i planted deep in the woods without much ground prep at all. I just raked the leaves off, threw the seed down and ran over it with the 4-wheeler a few times to get good seed to soil contact. Most throw and grow mixes are just annual ryegrass (which supposedly will grow on concrete) and some brassicas. Don't make the mistake of planting this stuff. Sweet Spot has high sugar perennial ryegrasses, purple top turnips, white clover, birdsfoot trefoil and chicory. Good stuff. You can read more about it at www.sucraseed.com (http://www.sucraseed.com).

I made the mi$take of buying a couple bags of throw n grow. Basically overpriced grass seed.
