i went this morning and struck 2 up right off the bat,set up and that was it,no more gobbling or nothing...as i went up the hill to the feild to try and get em up again,they gobbled one more time but this time was way on the neighbors property and wouldnt have nothing to do with me...what im thinking is that most of the toms are still really henned up and thats why im hearing people say there not that vocal,at least were im huntin

kinda the same luck I'm having right now and if it doesn't change by tomorrow then when I get to go again Thursday i'm not going in till mid day and stick it out till dark

I hunt mainly in lewis and mason county and ive noticed that the birds in mason shut up right off the roost and in lewis they dont gobble untill about 9 or 10. I have no idea why but today thats exactly what happend again. They didnt make a sound after about 9 today. The farm i hunt in lewis county i called up 3 gobblers at like 11am but missed:mad:
