I thought all was lost this evening. Never heard a gobble all night. Had a hen eating with 10 yards for 30-45 minutes. She disappeared behind me then came back around in front of me. As I was looking for her this guy and his buddy just popped out of no where and were standing by my old decoy. When I say old, I mean it, that decoy was purchased prior to the first turkey season opening here back whenever it was.

Anyway, nothing to brag about size wise, 5 inch beard 16-18lb, but what a feeling. Its one of the best when you harvest one of these awesome creatures.

Congrats on the jake. I still got an old Featherflex hen decoy from the early 90's:) She's lookin pretty rough, rarely see's much action. Probally used her more Tues-Thurs morning than the previous 15 years!
