I Tagged Out Today On A Turkey That I've Observed The Last Two Days Strutting In A Wheat Field , I Went Out Last Night And Put My Blind Out In The Field And Sure Enough He Came Strutting In With His Hens And 3 Jakes This Morning With My Bow In Hand He Was Headed In To About 20 Yards When All Of A Sudden He Took Off Running Back The Direction He Came And I Thought It Was Over But Another Long Beard Was Coming In And He Was Running Him Away From The Hens. This Made Me Nervous Because I Also Saw The Hens Walking Away So I Put Down The Bow And Picked Up The Shotgun And Shot The Dominant Goobler When I Got The First Chance. 4 Hours Later I Took A Freind To The Same Area And He Had To Stalk In On One And Kill It Because He Was With A Hen And Would'nt Have Anything To Do With Our Calling. My Bird Was 24 1/2 Lbs 10 In Beard 1 1/4 Spurs My Freinds Bird Was 24 Lbs 1o In Beard And 1 1/16 Spurs.Tried to load some better pictures of both birds but it said i had exceeded my space.
