Last Sunday I called in a 23lb 10.5" 1 1/8 & 1 1/4 inched bird for my friend, and I just cant seem to get finished with work fast enough to get my stuff ready for the morning. I've been watching the forecast, and it seems this storm will be out of my area just in time for me to hit the woods in the morning.
Im still excited from that 11 yard shot my buddy made last week. And let me say, this bird was getting ready to jump all over Pretty Boy until 3.5" of mass destruction jumped all over his head. Seriously, if you havent hunted over one of these, try it. In the past two years, that Pretty Boy and Pretty Girl have managed to pull birds to within 12 yards every time. So far, I've seen 4 Jakes, and 3 ole Toms get close enough to dismount him. One of those Jakes and 2 Toms got smacked by checking the pair out.
Im trying to get one of my friends to go out with us and video the morning's hunt, so maybe I will be able to post the results and give a good showing. Dang Im excited, it's 5 o'clock somewhere, right??:rolleyes:
