Took all 3 kids to the blind this evening, the first I have been home before dark this week. Here is what I learned:

A 3 year old has no concept of "whisper"

A 5 year old can find so many places in a Brickhouse 360 blind to stuff jelly beans, that I might never get them all out

A 12 oz. bottle of Coke Zero, when shaken enough, will spray every square inch of the inside of said brickhouse blind.

A 7 year old, who is a "seasoned hunter" as he has been turkey and deer hunting with me for 2 years now, will explain at least a hundred times that we will not see any turkeys "cause yall are being to loud"

The same 7 year old will also explain that "we might not get a turkey tonight, but, its ok, cause thats just how nature works"

folding chairs make a ton of noise when the occupents are constantly standing up and down.

a 3 year old will scream "theres a turkey!" every time he looks out the blind window and spots the full strut decoy.

The deer tracks in the ground inside our blind means a deer had to have been inside there at some time, probably when it was raining outside.

If you call loudly and often, the turkeys will come faster

Its ok to wear camo, but a 5 year old girl must also wear a matching "pretty" head band and bracelet in case we get a turkey and there are pictures to be taken.

and finaly, you can't kill a turkey with a 3, 5 and 7 year old in the blind with you

Sounds like a great afternoon.....;). You remember days like that more than if you would have killed a bird.

That's one of the best hunting stories I have heard in a while. Sounds like my two kids. Those are the best memories though.

That's awesome - been nice to have had on video to show then some years down the road - also reminds me of taking my youngest nephew on a all but 1 hour hunt in a net blind - when I finally said ok we can go he didn't wait for the net to come down he went through it

thanks guys, it was indeed fun:D Took the blind with us this morning cause it was raining. we (my hunting buddy and myself) sat it up well before light and got in out of the weather. As the sun came up and it got light enough to see, he whispers out, "Are those Jelly Beans?, I lost it, laughed out loud.

That is so true! I have an 11, two 9's and a 4 year old.......Say what you want, but I think taking a turkey with that many kids is far more challenging than with a bow, slingshot or a handfull of rocks anyway! Loved the story laughed out loud!
