Went out for the third time this season and decided to try a place I had not scouted. Walked down to a known strut zone where I had had good luck in the past. Located three gobblers on the roost within 150 yards of me and then gave a few short calls right before fly-down. Hens came in first followed by all three gobblers. They slowly made their way toward me, silent and in full strut the whole time. Had the 3 toms and 12 hens within thirty yards of me, but could not move to get a shot. At one point the tom I killed was less than 10 feet from me. I had to let him back out to about thirty yards. Dead bird at 7:25.
