Got out of school at 1:15 and headed home to get my camo, gun, and vest. Got to the farm at about 5:00 and headed to a high ridge where the turkeys have been going too to strut. Walking to where I was setting up I scared off a couple turkeys that where in the cedars which didn't make me the happiest:mad:. Doubting I was going to see anything after spooking the others I still ended up in the same spot. I put out a jake and a hen decoy and started calling. Around 30 min. later I here something walking in the woods to my left. about 25 min. later here steps out 3 jakes. Hoping they would come to my decoys they had different plans and started off over the hill. I knew i had to react fast so as soon as I had the chance I quickly pulled my gun up and fired at the second bird. Down he went! that was my second bird I killed one last year with an 11inch beard and 1 inch spurs. This jake had a 4inch beard and hardly any spurs.
