I had been scouting this bird for 2+ weeks knew where he roosted where he feed and had a spot picked out for an opening afternoon hunt. I went out that morning and put out dads double bull blind. and picked up my camera. had too pics of him the afternoon befor to add to the other three I had all around 6:30. Nice big bird with a long thick beard. Anyways I set up about 7:30 that morning and stayed till about 8:30 and never heard a thing so I went back to the house. So I decided to go over to my cousins house and see how they faired that morning. They hadn't done any good so my older cousin and I went out around 10:30. at about 10:45 my Dad calls asking where the blind is , if there is a chair in it, and where the calls are. I think to myself " I ought to go home and go with him or else he will get my bird" but I didn't I stayed withh my cousin. About 45min. later he calls come look at the bird I killed.
It was 24 1/2#'s, 11 in. beard, 1in. spurs.

Just be thankful you have a dad to share the outdoors with and be proud of him. There are lots more turkeys, but you just have one dad.

Well you have a point! I'm not that peed but the thing Is I haven't seen or much more than heard a bird since!

Seriously man i could care less if i got a bird or deer every year as long as my dad or papaw kills one,even if i had been watching a big booner or a big gobbler all year and wanted to kill just that deer or bird,as long as one of us gets it and not the next farm over

Be proud of him wish my dad was still alive to go with me - I would of let my dad take the shot anyway just as I did my nephew Sat

You should be tickled, not mad! I say congrats to your Dad! My dad is 85, hunts turkeys with a buddy on a farm that the owners won't let anybody hunt but him & his buddy. Dad said they are kinda funny so he's always been leary about askin if i can tag along. He loves hunting there & i don't have a good place i can take him. Wish i could! Be happy!!
