Thanks for the comments! :)
The camera is a Canon Rebel XTi (12 megapixels). The lens is a Canon EF 100-400 mm. w/ image stabilization and f/5.6. I was using a tripod, and almost all of these duck shots (except the drake and hen woody) were taken at 400 mm.
The lens is nice, but its limited aperture f/5.6 makes it tough to get crisp shots at dawn/dusk. I virtually had to just sit in the blind for about an hour until I had enough light to start shooting. To really capture those early morning shots, I'd have to upgrade to a f/2.8 aperture, but those lenses are in excess of $5K. I like taking duck pics and all, but I don't seeing investing that kind of money into a camera lens.
Prior to this morning, I had counted something like 14 different varieties of ducks in this particular flooded corn field. Both divers and dabblers. Awesome diversity. In addition to the Ring-Neck, Woody, Mallard, and Redhead in these pics, I also managed to take some shots of Widgeon, Golden-Eye, Bluebill, Gadwall, Shoveler, and Black Duck, as well as some geese. The pics of all those ducks were shot at first light and turned out blurry, simply b/c there wasn't enough light. Although none swam by that morning, I had also seen some blue-wing teal, canvasback, greater scaup, and ??? (don't remember the last species) in that hole.
