took my 9 yr old son to a new place this morning,right off we heard a bird gobble way off the end of the ridge,after a few mins i decided we'd go after him so we went a couple hundred yds and flushed a few from roost,they didnt act real tore up so we sat down and in a few more mins i gave a few light calls and a bird answerd,ok now the set up,we get positioned where i thought he'd come and then another gobble and another,we've got 3 coming fast so i get him ready for the one i think is closest,WRONG,the last bird is behind us coming at a dead run,he circles us and comes out n our wrong side for a shot 20 ft from us,he finally walks off gobbling,probably gobbled a couple hundred times in 2 hours,worked him from 6:45 till after 9 and had to get home for church.GUESS WHERE WE'LL BE NEXT SAT?:D SORRY THIS IS SO LONG BUT I GOT A LITTLE EXCITED THIS MORNING.
