Voting and Members Only Sections

OK folks, as you can see, we're starting to get more organized. The reasons for the two forums mentioned in the subject of this post is that it is for Members only. It's not that we are trying to exclude anyone, but it is just like any other organization, members take priority. Let's face it too, $10/year isn't going to break anyone. Also, the money that we raise is all going to be used for something good!

To go along with this, I'm going to start cross-referencing the names of the people that have paid vs. who have sent me their information. Anyone who has paid, but has not sent me information, please drop me a line. I'll send you a sheet to fill out. If you don't drop me a line, I'm going to drop you one with the sheet. If I can't get in touch with you after about a week, I'll consult the other officers as to the course of action. Anyone that I have listed as having sent me information, but have not sent Grouseguy their $10 is going to be taken off of the list as a member.

Not trying to tick anyone off or anything. Nor are we trying to exclude anyone! We want as many people to join as possible. However, this is going to be an organization made up of people that support it and are willing to help us do it. We need a listing of all of the members, their REAL names, addresses, etc. This will help us put names with faces in the future, as well as identify areas of the state that are lacking in membership and representation.

Please, if you haven't sent in your money, please do so. If you haven't sent me your information yet, again, please do so. We are just like every other organization, we need names and addresses. NO ONE OUTSIDE OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE WILL HAVE THIS INFORMATION!!!!! There's also another reason we'll need the information, we're looking at getting hats, shirts, stickers, etc. for the members.

If I've missed anyone, sorry. If I listed someone that shouldn't be on here, sorry again. Work pretty much kicked my butt the last 2 weeks! I'm trying to play catch-up.

Sorry guys. I'm going to be sending Chad an e-mail tonight updated with who should have access and who shouldn't. I wanted to try to give people a little bit of time to either pay their dues or send their information to me.

OK, let's see where we went wrong here.....

I posted the orignal message on 8/24 saying that I was going to start cross-referencing the names and such. Then on 9/2 I posted who had sent me information but had not paid, as well as the people that I needed information from.

Let's look at it like this, if I were to pay $10 to another organization, without sending them information as to who I am, would I receive any benefits? Also, if I sent all of my information to an organization, but didn't include the dues, again, would I receive any benefits?

I sent the original list to Chad on "good faith" of a lot of people. A lot of the people haven't either supplied information or paid their dues, so I updated the list last night of people who should have access to the restricted "MEMBERS ONLY" areas. Since quite a bit of time has passed since the first "good faith" submission of names, access was removed for some people.

We aren't trying to exclude anyone. I have sent out several e-mails to people, with no response as to their information and/or grouseguy hasn't received their $10.

That's it! The only thing slightly personal in there is the D.O.B., but that's so that we can get an idea as to the age of the people that are using this site. This is to get a better idea where people are coming from (age=wisdom, in a lot of cases), but to also recruit for possible candidates for positions within Cyberhunters, as well as other organizations.

NONE OF THIS INFORMATION WILL BE SHARED WITH ANYONE OUTSIDE OF THE CYBERHUNTERS EXECUTIVES! To date, unless it was posted on this site for the public to see, none of the information has left my computer and Access database that I have created (other than sending Chad members to add access to).

When sending payment, make sure that you include your User Name (a.k.a. Handle) in the Memo section of the check, so that grouseguy will know who paid. Don't forget to send me your information.

Since grouseguy is the banker, he gets the money. Since I am the "bookkeeper" (and somewhat of a 'computer geek') and know Access, I need the information. Sorry if this is an inconvenience to anyone, but just getting started, we have to use the resources we have.

ez, you should have access to everything. You may not be logged into the site itself. With the changes that have been made, I had to log in again when I got on tonight. Check the upper right corner of the screen and see if it says, "You Are Logged On As _____". If it doesn't and there are two boxes asking for your user name and password, you will need to log on.
