Made a run from Louisville to Lexington and then down to Beaver Dam today. Saw about 20-25 birds in one flock in Shelby Co. about a mile and a half west of the Simpsonville exit. One nice gobbler was really strutting his stuff. Wanted to stop and get a couple of photos but when I checked my rear view mirror all I could see was grill so decided I'd better keep rolling. Also saw one strutting gobbler with 5 or 6 hens in Grayson Co. Couldn't see his beard as he had his butt towards me and was all fanned out. In either Anderson Co. or Mercer Co. I saw 10 hens with one strutting tom but they must have been domesticated turkeys. They were out in the middle of a field and I could not see a house anywhere around but all of them were Bourbon Reds. Had to do a double take but I'm sure of what I saw. Has anyone else seen them?
