LBL Adult Quota

Anyone else going down this weekend? Hunted Sunday with my son during the youth quota. Knew 3 others with their sons hunting Sunday and only had me and 1 other dad with any gobbling. The other 2 didn't hear anything. None of us were successful.

:eek:I called golden pond yesterday to find out how many birds were taken during the youth hunt last weekend. I was told 6 birds were checked in?:mad:

I hope it is better this weekend. I think it'd still a tad bit early for the good action yet. I'm going tomorrow to check some of the usual good spots. Good luck to you guys.

My good buddy took a kid this last weekend and the kid smoked his first bird. He said they gobbled good on the tree but became quiet once they hit the ground. He said that they acted like normal LBL birds for this time of the year. I am drawn for the 10 & 11. I think by then maybe the weather will break and get them a little more fired up.

I think, LBL's Tenn & Ky combined,youth & adult hunter, spring of 2007 turkey harvest was 117 birds.
