Saturday 3/29/2008 Took my first bird of the season!! 18.6 lb. - 12 inch beard - 1 1/4 inch spurs. Was runnin and gunnin when this bird answered me at about 10:30. I was on one side of the field and him on the other. the woods were open enough i could see him struttin as he was com'n down the ridge. He had another young gobbler with him. After play'in him a little toon called ( Me Sooo Hony ) on my mouth call, him and his buddy was look'in for a double date. I stopped him about 35 yards short. Looks like another Memorial Day deep fried wild turkey!!

Anyone can kill them with artillery fire.

JK, I am just jealous, wish I was hunting already.

we all know that you shot him from that old tank. Patton would be proud.

How's the hunting this year at Campbell? I haven't been yet, but thinking about coming down later this week. Been hunting at Knox and they've killed 42 birds. A buddy and me killed 2 birds Saturday morning. Looks like they are several areas open at Campbell, should be good this year.

Congrats on the Harvest. That pic would make a fine front page for a hunting magazine for Military Bases. But, we don't want to advertise too much. lol
