A bit of a rant. Yesterday afternoon was setting on a field with my decoy out. Had about 14 hens and 4 gobblers at about 125 yards coming my way. Things were looking real good when one of the hens takes off running and then the whole bunch goes air borne. Yep, you guessed it, here comes another hunter walking into the field. He stand there looking around and I guess he sees my decoy and leaves. But the damage was already done. I know public hunting, you have to expect this kinda of thing, but still hard to take. Anyway Good luck guys and safe turkey hunting.

Happened to me this morning on ft campbell. This goofball seen the birds fly off and then is going to start crow calling. I watched him, he went in the direction the birds went and just keep on crow calling. Funny as stepping in some poo. On a good note,,, it made me move locations and I nailed bird #2 for the year. :D

What is real bad is when it is on private land. My dad had that happen to him!

a couple of years back i was hunting on private ground and a hunter started headin towards us and we stood up and he just kep comin and walked the hole feild infront of us and went belows us.i mean come on thats just not a thig a person should do,i have had that happen twice and both times they had to see us once we was about 50 yds from the truck in the middle of a feild and had flashlights and everything but they still came in behind us.i know they also have permission but it s just to not set up right next to another hunter that was there first.

When I hunt public ground I expect to have other hunters walk in on me. I've done the same to them before not knowing they were there. What burns me up is the guys that know you are working a bird and still come in on you. Its happened to me many times. I've got plenty of bad public land stories like many others do. Some guys just don't respect anyone else and that makes it harder on everyone. If someone is working a bird or set up in a spot do the right thing and move on. RESPECT is the key on public land.
