what # shot do you favor.have never shot a turkey with #6 but the gun i have now patterns better with them.have always used #4 or #5 in the past how well do #6's work

I wonder the same thing. I have always use #5. Have you seen the new mixed shot by remington? Well I think it was remington, it said on the box that it was 4 and 6 shot together. I almost got a box but backed out the last minute.

you could shoot hevi shot,i have heard a #6 will shoot as hard as a #5or #4 lead.
I have used the duplex loads that hve 4s and 6s in one of my 870s and i killed my first turkey with them about 6 years ago.

They work just fine! Go w/ your best pattern reguardless of shot size Imo, there are no worries .

#6 is what I always have shot and have never had a problem!!!

I've used #6 shot federals since 97' and they perform flawlessly every year.....
