The little lady and I visited Pilot Rock and lake Malone yesterday. It was a nice day to be out and about, but it was cold and windy on top of the rock.

Pilot Rock is about 5-6 miles east of Hopkinsville on HWY 507 in Todd county. It is just a massive rock that shoots up out of the ground about 100 feet, and it just happens to be on the highest point in the county.

Here are the coordinates:

36° 55' N; 87° 17' W

I know that discharge hole....:D.... The Lake has been real muddy since that last round of rain we had, very few fishermen out if you can go by the trailers in the lot at the state ramp. You want another cool place to visit try and find Old Adrie on the banks of green river out by the Paradise steam plant, those rock steps remind me of there. Not just sure how you can access it now but it is downriver a couple miles from the plant. May be able to hike from the boat ramp down river.

I thought about you when I was down there yesterday and wondered where your place was. There were only 2 trailers at the state ramp yesterday, and on of those was an older fella trying to get his pontoon up and running again. I have never seen the water in Malone as muddy as it was yesterday.
