I didn't want to post anyting till I knew the outcome and thank goodness it came out OK. On the way home I topped this hill to see a car swerve into our lane and then hit the ditch and catch on fire in the gas tank area. There was a couple guys also that stopped and ran for the car to try and get anyone inside out. I got on the phone and called 911 and got them on the way. The guys ended up breaking out a window to get the door locks open and pulled a young couple out and away from the fire. We stayed till the fire department and EMT's and police showed up gave a quick report and went on our way. Got home turned on the scanner to hear two refused treatment at the scene.

Looked like a wheel came off and when the frame hit blacktop the sparks started the fire.

I was wondering what all the commotion was about when all the EMS/Fire Trucks/Police Cars were heading out 181S.

Got in on a fatal wreck just outside Central City on the WK on Thursday going down to check on my new lease. Looked like a S-10 hit a semi head on for some reason. I got there just after it happened and there was a GW on the scene and was in the process of covering the guy up with a white sheet.

Listen to the scanner here Multi you would be amazed at the number of people going the wrong way on the WK. It is a wonder there are not more fatal accidents because of that. I would bet there are at least 3 per week and how they manage to get going the wrong way is beyond me.

Yep, just down the road from where I work. The s-10 lost control and crossed the median I was told.
