With the first round complete, how do you feel about your picks?
I took a pretty good hit on day 2 but, still feel good about my "futures".
Looks like the Louisville and Xavier picks will play a big role in deciding this thing.
Congrats to Arkansas and Western. I was 1 for 2 in those picks(picked WKU to win) but, will, gladly, concede the Arkansas pick just to see IU "headin' to the house'.
What are your thoughts on where you stand?
Predictions...let's hear 'em.

My team is still in it for a possible matchup with UNC.

You're team is sitting in the hotel crying.

I'm top 2. You're 11. So lets not even talk about picking correctly.

I let my boy fill out a bracket for me in the office pool. He went 27/32 in the first round, missed with KY, Conn, Villanova, St.Joe and Siena(Who the heck is Siena?)

My Final 4 are intact, I've still got 7 of my Elite 8 (darn you Conn!), and 13 of my Sweet 16.

Looks like the Big east is the soft one. They did allright Thurs and Fri beating a 10,11,12,13,14 and 15 seed, AND losing to a 14 seed. But they are tanking today 1-3. Looks like they were overrated as many suggested.

Their top 2 teams, G=town and UCONN both going down, one to a 10 seed, one to a 13 seed. They look soft like many thought.

Not making excuses for IU, but how does a team go from being in the Top 25 all season long and wind up with an 8 seed....Same thing for Butler and their 7 seeding..... Every Big East Team in the Big Dance got a better seeding than other deserving schools getting crappy seeds.

The NCAA committee must be in Love with the Big East or someone in a higher position must be having an affair with Rick Pitino. The Big East is truly showing their true colors now..... U of L was put in the easiest bracket to the Sweet 16 there was, Only two tough calibur teams to face in either Butler or Tenn.... Only sad thing was...Butler and Tenn had to face each other....

Not crying by no means, only seeing somewhat unjust seedings in my eyes.... This goes for the whole lot of 65 teams......

The committee needs to stop kissing the behinds of the Big East, plain and simple........Heck now that I think of it they did the same thing when U of L was in C-USA and the old Metro conference........Sounds strange don't it.... Wherever U of L is, the more teams get in when their Conference is involved.

The Big East is the best conference from top to bottom. IU got seeded the way they did because of how they were playing and the committee knew they weren't going anywhere. Oh and if you want to look it up, there are several polls out polling which bracket was the toughest and the East was picked the toughest in all that I have saw thus far.

The SEC is soft and the Big East is full of choke jobs. That's my up to date analysis. lol.

duke was possibly the most over-rated 2 seed in ncaa history. REALLY shoulda been beat first round. i like to look at teams before the tip-off and ask myself, "who would win in a bar fight?". not sure this year's dukies coulda beaten any team in that category - they sure are smart though!! never seen so much flailing and flopping since bill laimbeer played for the pistons...:D the dukies better get in the weight room and put in some WORK, or they'll get more of this next year.

on the other hand, daking's xavier team could whip anybody in a barfight - cept maybe memphis, and thats a BIG maybe.:)

Hahaha.

Of course Duke was overrated. Like usual.

Did you see that little snippet of video that I posted in the other thread when Duke was playing Belmont and Paulus caught the ball with his foot out of bounds (by a couple feet) with a ref standing 5 feet from staring at him and he "saved it in".
