CB Radios

Does anybody still have a cb radio in their personal vehicle? I go to memphis every week and do a lot of interstate driving so I bought one, mainly to have somebody to talk to on the 5 hour drive each week. I've had it on around marion this week and it doesn't seem like anybody really uses them anymore except for the truck drivers.

A guy i work with does. He also has a pa system. Another friend had a fire engine siren er somthin in his truck. The other night at walmart he turned it on and got pulled over for it.

I still have one and use it when driving long distances. It can still be nice to have when you run into big traffic jams on the interstate. Since the speedlimit went back up to 65 and over not as much "smokey" talk....

We use to use them back in high school to keep track of each other and play "hide and seek" while avoiding the law on the weekends cruising town. It was fun to say the least but I guess cell phones trumped that

My buddy has one on his old mudder blazer with a pa system...it was usefull to get hot girls attention on the weekends:D

I had one in my truck until two years ago. When I sold the truck and got a new one I just haven't got around to putting it in my new one. Nice to have if you travel the interstate a lot.

Use to be my big thing. When everyone else had big sterios I had big radios. My CB's had over 500 channels(galaxies and Rangers) and if I pushed less than 500watts I was underpowered:p I regularly talked to other states on my mobile when I sat on top of a strip job. LOL and thats nothing compared to what was in my house at one time. plenty expensive hobby though:(

i have HR2510 and a converted uniden washington base station
used to be a HUGE CB'r i got QSL cards from all over england,canada ,belguim etc

i like mine once i get away from the truck stops and big citys. most people you would want to talk to keep theirs turned down or off to avoid the trash talk.

I sold off all my cb stuff about 4 yrs ago it was fun thou..
i had a 70ft. tower , cobra 2000 base, washington base, silver eagle, gold eagle , and i had the black eagle all cool looking desk mics.

I got a CB in my route truck, I love it. Got a Connex 4300.
